For the last few years, I have worked incredibly hard, but behind the scenes, I have been battling debilitating medical issues.

The NHS is wonderful in some ways, and a disaster in others, especially for complex and chronic health issues. I began my private health journey a year and a half ago. Seeing an endocrinologist, I was diagnosed with PCOS, Hyperprolactinaemia, and a pituitary tumour. However, these didn't explain how bad I felt. I then saw a cardiologist, and was diagnosed with POTS, long covid, and MCAS. I felt like my symptoms were still not fully explained, so after many more tests and specialists, I've been diagnosed with Craniocervical instability (CCI), AAI, possible thoracic outlet syndrome, and Basillar invagination. To cut a long story short, my spine and my neck is very messed up, and my bones are pushing into where my brain stem is.

The only fix for this is spinal fusion surgery, where I would lose 50% of the movement in my neck. The specialist, Dr. Gilete, wants to rule out every other possibility and health problem first that could be causing how I feel.

Dr Gilete is in Barcelona where they offer these tests, and wants to run a comprehensive immune panel (interleukin testing) as a lot of my symptoms seem to be my body being in a constant state of fighting against itself. These tests are €1500 and I would have to fly to Barcelona.

I have put my all into working so hard, and hiding the brain fog and fatigue I feel. I have spent over £25k of my own money, and any money I earn from my job goes into the business account, not my bank.
