Help me visit my mother sick with Cancer

Hi, my name is David. I have lived in Israel since 2004. The rest of my family still resides in Connecticut and New York. My mother is 75 and has been in and out of the hospital for the past few years with cancer. At this point the cancer has moved into her lungs and she is not doing well. She is now lying in the hospital in discomfort all the time. Her doctors have not presented her with a precise timeline, but she is not doing well and no one knows when they take their last breath. I am asking for help to go see my mother while I'm still able to speak to her and tell her I love her.

Due to the past few years of Corona and now with the war in Gaza, my financial situation is highly unstable. Israel is a very expensive country and due to the government lockdowns and now the current security situation, small businesses like mine have been heavily impacted now for several years. However, my most pressing issue is that I still owe a few thousand dollars to the government collection agency. Until I pay this debt I am not allowed to leave the country. I have been told explicitly by my contact at the collection agency that they can and will stop people from attending funerals, this is no joke.

So I am turning to you for help in paying down this glorified bank fee in order that I may be allowed to leave the country and see my mother. The money I am asking for is $5500 to deal with the debt past due to the government and the remaining $2000 will go to travel expenses. I pray that I am able to get there before it is too late to hug her one last time and tell her I love her.
