Hi, my name is Sharnn and I am fundraising to help me visit my aging father in the UK. He recently had a fall and broke two ribs, days after he went home after being in hospital with Pneumonia. He is back in hospital again now a week later with dangerously low blood pressure and heart rate.

It has been ten years since I have seen my dad. We talk on the phone every few weeks...... Last time I visited the UK was due to my mum being diagnosed with Cancer. Sadly my mum passed away.

I have been living in Australia for the past 42 years, since I was 20. In that time, both my parents visited me here every 2nd year or so. I have lots of fond memories of our times spent travelling interstate and in Sydney and Melbourne, on roadtrips to Tasmania and Queensland. 

I have been a single parent to three children for the past 25 yrs, having left several DV relationships. As such I have been diagnosed with PTSD and unable to work full time. I have had no family in Australia either so have relied on Centrelink Support Payments (and casual part time Creative Workshops I teach) for my income.

I need to renew my Australian Passport as quick as I can and purchase an Airline Ticket. I will also need to pay for some type of cheap hire car to get around and to take my dad out on a few day trips. And some funds for Accommodation too. I will still have my private Rental home in Australia to pay for.
