Hi everyone,

I never imagined I’d have to write something like this—but my family needs me, and I need your help to get to them.

My mum has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer, and she now has to undergo a double mastectomy. It's a terrifying and life-changing procedure, and the thought of her going through this without her family around her is incredibly hard to bear. She is trying to be strong, but I know how scared she must be beneath it all.

As many of you know, I live here, my mum is in New Zealand. The distance has never felt heavier than it does now. I want—need—to be there for her, to hold her hand before surgery, to help her recover afterwards, and to simply be her Son when she needs me most.

Unfortunately, international flights are expensive, and with everything going on financially, I can’t afford the cost of a return ticket on my own. I’m hoping to raise money to help cover my travel so I can be by her side and help contribute to  medical expenses.

This isn’t easy to ask. I’m not someone who usually reaches out like this, but right now, I’m putting my pride aside for my mum. If you’re able to contribute, even just a little, it would mean the absolute world to me and my family. If you can’t donate, a share would be just as appreciated.
