Service has been in my DNA since I was a Brownie in Girl Scouts. From middle school collecting socks for those experiencing homelessness to high school and college when my service increased to monthly, it provided me a sense of purpose.
I have submitted my nursing credentials to volunteer for a week at a time of healthcare assistance after the devastating Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica.
Please help me by donating money to assist with items required for travel expenses (not provided by the organization) and medical supplies. Many of the hospitals and clinics were virtually destroyed. My prayers are for the people and this much-needed mission
Healthcare Hands Across Jamaica is mobilizing a team of healthcare professionals to support hurricane relief efforts in Jamaica. I will be working with other professionals, and the donations will help with medical supplies, care packages, and assisting nurses with housing.
I first visited Jamaica around 1986 and just fell in love with the people and culture. I have visited more times than I can count and find it a blessing to give back to a country that has brought my family such joy.
