I’m raising money for my friend.

She is going through divorce and custody litigation trying to protect her kid from abuse.

Her Attorney bill hit $38,430 this month and she is already in deep debt of $45k on top of that.

She was on a notice that Attorney will leave the case if she does not pay the bill by May 12th. She is begging the attorney to give her some time. Attorney gave her notice that she will file motion to be released as her Counsel if she doesn’t sign the substitution of Attorney or pays the bill.

Here is her story:

What started as a fairy tale romance became a nightmare marriage fraught with lies. After 1,5 years of long distance relationships I moved to the USA and got married to what seemed to be the kindest and most attentive man I ever met.

But very soon after the marriage that most kindest man changed. He lost his good paying job for his actions. We moved from a beautiful home that he lied he owned to a rented apartment and within days of our daughter turning 1 year old we got an eviction letter and have been evicted shortly after and I ended up with my daughter with no home or any sense of security.

But the most devastating lie of all was that he concealed from me his drug addiction which posed a threat to me and our infant daughter, which led to the demise of our marriage and an entry of restraining order in my favor.

I was left with no home, no credit history, no savings, no money in my bank account while I was a stay at home mother with a conditional green card. I went through hell, but I survived and landed on my feet despite being an immigrant with a 1 year old daughter with no money or home, and no family in the US.

None of his family members who claimed they so much loved their granddaughter and niece stepped in in any way to help and never cared we were left on a street.

I got a job within a week selling shoes in a mall while I had a master degree obtained in my home Country. I was applying for jobs overnight while working the longest shifts possible to feed my child. The hard work finally paid off and I got a good job within my filed of expertise which I still so lucky to have.

I am now in litigation since 2021 with the father of my daughter, fighting for my daughter's safety. There’s been tens of thousands of dollars spent on the Attorney services in connection with numerous motions, emergent applications, involvement of child protective services, due to our daughter’s allegations against her father and the matter is not anywhere near the end as her father is seeking 50/50 custody of our daughter, which if granted will put her safety and well being at risk. My attorney bill this month reached $38 k and I am in a deep debt of around $45k not including attorney bill. I am on notice that the attorney will file a motion to be removed as my Counsel. I am begging her to give me time. She was very patient with my partial payment throughout the whole litigation process but now bill is too high. I am begging for any help you can offer to protect my child! If you ask what allegations I would ask you to imagine what would be the most scariest dream for any parent!! Unfortunately until our State Senators sign Kayden’s law that Angelina Jolie spoke at Congress last year, it will be very hard to protect my daughter. I cannot protect my daughter if I am unrepresented. Please help me protect my little girl!!!She is only 5 years old!!
