Help me take my Aunt Sue Sue on her dream trip!

Hi, I’m Nicky. I don’t really have a mom in the traditional sense—but I’ve been incredibly lucky to have my Aunt Susan. She stepped into that role without hesitation and has been a steady, loving presence in my life for as long as I can remember. She’s the kind of person who shows up—quietly, consistently, wholeheartedly.

This past year has been a really hard one for her. Life has thrown a lot her way, and I’ve watched her carry it all with strength and grace. She deserves something beautiful. Something big. Something just for her.

For as long as I can remember, Susan has dreamed of going to Antarctica. It’s a place that feels magical to her—remote, peaceful, wild. A few months ago, I took a photo of her outside a building in Chicago where she was touching a real rock from Antarctica that was on display. It wasn’t behind glass—it was right there, and she was so excited. I looked at her face in that moment—pure joy, wonder, awe—and I knew right then: I have to take her there.

So I’m trying to make that happen.

I’m raising money to take Susan on the dream trip of a lifetime—to Antarctica. Between the cruise, flights, gear, and travel costs, it’s definitely not a small goal. But it would mean the world to her. And to me, it’s a small way to say thank you to someone who has given me so much love, care, and stability over the years.
