Two days ago, our family home was broken into. Among many things that were taken—things that can never really be replaced—was David’s camera gear. If you know David, you know how many photos he takes.
Photography isn’t just a hobby for him. It’s how he captures memories, processes the world, and brings joy to himself and others. He was so excited to take our family photos together with baby Matthew. Losing it has been especially heartbreaking, and with insurance not coming close to covering what was taken, replacing it isn’t something we can realistically do on our own.
His birthday is coming up in 3 days, and while I can’t magically replace everything, I’d love to give him something just as meaningful: hope, support, and a reminder that he’s not alone.
If you were thinking of buying him a drink, a coffee, or a small birthday gift, please consider contributing here instead. Every bit—truly—helps us get closer to rebuilding what was lost and lifting his spirits during a really hard time.
No pressure at all—sharing this or sending love means just as much. Thank you for being part of our village. ❤️
