Help Me Support My Pregnancy and Reunite With My Husband

Hello everyone,

My name is Monica Bermudez, and I am reaching out during one of the most difficult and emotional times of my life. I am currently expecting our first child, a blessing that brings me hope and strength every single day. But this journey has been far from easy.

Recently, my husband was taken into ICE custody. His absence has left a hole in our home and in my heart. I am doing my best to stay strong for our unborn child, but the reality of navigating pregnancy while separated from my husband has been overwhelming—both emotionally and financially.

To make things even more challenging, I am considered a high-risk pregnancy. This means I must attend frequent medical appointments to ensure both my baby and I remain safe and healthy.

Right now, I am not working or making enough money to support myself and my baby. What I earn barely covers my rent and a few basic bills, but it is not enough for everything else I need as I prepare to bring my child into the world.

I am asking for your kindness and support as I try to provide stability for myself, my baby, and my husband. The funds raised will go toward:

• Medical expenses and pregnancy care – ensuring I can attend all my prenatal appointments and provide the healthiest start possible for our child.

• A reliable vehicle – so I can safely get to my medical visits and prepare for the arrival of the baby.

• Travel expenses – to visit my husband while he is in custody or after he is deported back to his home country, allowing him to remain connected to our baby’s journey and give us both the strength we need during this time.

• Basic living needs – to help me manage as I prepare to welcome our little one into the world.

My goal is $25,000. Every dollar will help ease the weight I am carrying right now and bring hope to my family’s future. Even the smallest contribution will make a difference, and if you cannot give, I kindly ask that you share my story with others.

Ayúdame a Apoyar Mi Embarazo y Reunirme con Mi Esposo 

 Hola a todos, Mi nombre es Monica Bermudez y me acerco a ustedes en uno de los momentos más difíciles y emocionales de mi vida. Actualmente estoy esperando a nuestro primer hijo, una bendición que me brinda esperanza y fortaleza cada día. Pero este camino no ha sido nada fácil.  

Recientemente, mi esposo fue detenido por ICE. Su ausencia ha dejado un vacío en nuestro hogar y en mi corazón. Estoy haciendo lo mejor que puedo para mantenerme fuerte por nuestro bebé, pero la realidad de atravesar un embarazo separada de mi esposo ha sido abrumadora, tanto emocional como financieramente. 

 Para complicar aún más las cosas, mi embarazo ha sido clasificado como de alto riesgo. Esto significa que debo asistir a citas médicas frecuentes para asegurar que tanto mi bebé como yo permanezcamos sanos y seguros.

 En este momento, no estoy trabajando ni generando suficiente dinero para sostenerme a mí misma y a mi bebé. Lo poco que gano apenas cubre mi renta y algunas cuentas básicas, pero no alcanza para todo lo demás que necesito mientras me preparo para traer a mi hijo al mundo. Hoy les pido su bondad y apoyo mientras intento brindarle estabilidad a mi bebé, a mí misma y a mi esposo. 

Los fondos recaudados se destinarán a: 

 • Gastos médicos y cuidado prenatal – para poder asistir a todas mis citas y darle a mi bebé el comienzo más saludable posible. 

 • Un vehículo confiable – para poder llegar de manera segura an mis citas médicas y prepararme para la llegada del bebé. 

 • Gastos de viaje – para poder visitar a mi esposo mientras esté bajo custodia o después de ser deportado a su país de origen, lo que le permitirá mantenerse conectado con el proceso del bebé y darnos fuerza en este tiempo tan difícil. 

 • Necesidades básicas de vida – para poder sobrellevar este periodo mientras me preparo para recibir a mi pequeño. 

 Mi meta es $25,000. Cada dólar ayudará a aliviar la carga que llevo en este momento y traer esperanza al futuro de mi familia. Incluso la contribución más pequeña hará la diferencia, y si no pueden donar, les pido amablemente que compartan mi historia con otros. Creo en el poder de la comunidad, el amor y la oración. Con su apoyo, sé que puedo darle a mi bebé el comienzo en la vida que se merece y mantener viva la esperanza de algún día reunirnos nuevamente como familia.
