Viv the Guide & Ranger leader here, I’ve been part of Girlguiding UK since I was a brownie aged 7 yrs old, I was a Guide and attained the highest award of Queen Guide, A young leader and ran a unit from the age of 17 nurturing girls as they begin their own Girlguiding journeys.

next year with other leaders , I'm supporting a group of young girls aged 13-18 yrs to take part in an international Girlguiding expedition to Mexico, visiting Nuestra Cabaña, one of the five World Centres run by the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).

Nuestra Cabaña is a global meeting place where girls and young women from around the world come together to learn, lead, and grow. During the expedition, we’ll take part in lots of activities including community projects, environmental work, and team-building activities designed to build independence, resilience, and confidence. we’ll also meet others from many different countries, share experiences, and represent Girlguiding UK with pride.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to gain skills and perspectives that will last a lifetime. Without leaders this trip couldn't go ahead, the girls will

• Develop independence, leadership, and self-belief through hands-on challenges

• Learn responsibility and teamwork by planning and making group decisions

• Form lifelong friendships with Girl Guides from across the world

• Represent the values of Girlguiding UK and bring these experiences home to inspire others

To make this dream possible, we need to raise £3,000 each to cover pre-trip team building events, travel, accommodation & expedition costs.
