Kenya 2027: Help Me Make a Difference
I have been given an amazing opportunity to take part in a 4-week expedition to Kenya in summer 2027 with Camps International through my school. This experience will allow me to support local communities, protect wildlife, and develop valuable life skills.
During the expedition, I will help with sustainable development projects, including building or renovating schools that are affected by erosion and seasonal flooding, helping create safe environments where children can learn. I will also contribute to environmental conservation projects, such as planting indigenous trees and helping improve natural water sources to support both communities and wildlife.
As part of the challenge, I will complete a 4–5 day trek up Mount Kenya, and experience Kenya’s incredible wildlife, including the opportunity to see the Big Five, while learning about local culture and traditions.
Over the coming months, I will be working hard to raise funds through volunteering at community events, part-time work, seeking sponsorship from local businesses, and other creative ideas.
I am fundraising to help cover expedition costs including travel, accommodation, and project materials. Any support, no matter how small, will help me take part in this life-changing opportunity and make a positive difference.
