My name is Daniel Thompson, and I am the father of the sweetest and most beautiful girl in the world—my daughter, Daisy. She is the light of my life. Daisy is silly, sweet, gentle, and loving, and through her I’ve experienced a depth of love I never knew was possible. She is perfect to me. There is no distance in the universe I wouldn’t cross for her.

I am creating this fundraiser because I am fighting to remain an active, present father in Daisy’s life. After making the difficult decision to leave an abusive relationship, I have found myself navigating a deeply flawed and exhausting legal system. Instead of prioritizing Daisy’s best interests and her relationship with both parents, this system has allowed ongoing separation between my daughter and me.

This has been emotionally devastating, but I refuse to give up on my child. The funds raised here will help me continue the legal fight to protect my parental rights and to ensure that Daisy knows, without question, that her father never stopped showing up for her.
