Help Me Stay Afloat While I Fight Hidradenitis Suppurativa
$200 raised of
Hi everyone,
I never imagined I'd be in a position where I'd need to ask for help, but right now my family could really use it.
I have been out of work since February because of chronic severe stage 3 hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), a painful chronic inflammatory skin disease that has made it impossible for me to continue working. I was also recently diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency. I am currently waiting for a determination on my SSI application, but in the meantime, our household is struggling to keep up with basic expenses.
My partner has been doing everything possible to support our family, but it's becoming overwhelming. My share of our monthly rent is $800 ($1,825 total), and my share of our electric bill is approximately $150 (behind $422.18). On top of that, I have medical appointments 2–3 times each week, and the cost of gas to get to and from those appointments adds up quickly.
I am also a parent to two school aged children, and my biggest goal is to keep a stable roof over our heads while I focus on my health and recovery.
If you're able to donate, no matter the amount, it would mean more than I can express. If you're not in a position to give, sharing this fundraiser with others would be just as appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read my story, for your kindness, and for any support you can offer during this difficult time. Every donation, share, and prayer helps bring us one step closer to getting through this.
All funds will be used for paying my rent, light bill and gas to get to all of my doctors appointments.
Thank you and God bless you,
Jessa
