Hi, my name is Cesia I’m 19 years old and I’m to help the stray cats living around my neighborhood. I have always cared a lot about animals, and for the past year I’ve been feeding a small group of cats that live next to my house by the slump. There are currently four cats that depend on me every day, and I’ve already started building them a warm, insulated shelter for the winter.

Unfortunately, yesterday one of the cats showed up with a deep scratch on her face, and it broke my heart. I called shelters, vets, and animal control trying to get help, but I kept being told the same thing:

* Animal control won’t help unless the cat is “close to death.”

* Shelters couldn’t help the injured cat because they don’t have vets 

* Vets won’t treat strays for free, and the visit alone is around $120, not including medicine.

* Spay/neuter costs range from $200–$300+ each.

I’m doing the best I can, I even bought a big plastic cat carrier to catch them but I can’t afford all these costs on my own.

 

My Goal

I want to start by helping the four cats right next to my house. They desperately need to be spayed and neutered because they keep having kittens but the kittens never survive. I’ve seen the mother cats pregnant multiple times, but I never see the babies . Just once one time but after they disappear ( I believe they don’t actually make it) I’ve even gone into the slump looking for them, but there’s nothing. I think they might be breeding with siblings or parents because they are very small and one even has a deformity. It’s heartbreaking, and I want to stop this cycle of suffering.

 

What the Money Will Be Used For

Your donations will go directly toward:

* Vet visits and medical care for injuries

* Spay and neuter surgeries

* Medicines and follow-up treatments

* Food and supplies

* Building safe, insulated shelters (my sister and I build them ourselves out of wood , insulation and waterproof paintbut materials cost around $150+ per house) ( I’ve tried getting the already made houses but they never last that long)

If there is extra money after helping the first four cats, I will expand this project to help other strays in my neighborhood, especially the ones that keep reproducing without ever receiving proper care.

 

Why This Matters

These cats didn’t choose to live outside. They didn’t choose to be injured, or sick. They deserve a chance to live safely, to stop reproducing in dangerous conditions, and to finally have comfort and protection.

I’m committed to helping them. I just need some support to make it possible.
