Help me so I can keep helping others.

Hi. My name is Judeen, and I am a domestic abuse survivor. I recently got divorced, without an attorney and to say Iowa laws are ridiculous are an understatement. I was abused in every sort of way you could imagine for many years. My son and I left 10/18/23, with nothing. It took the police and SWAT three days to arrest him, and by then my house was completely ruined. I have spent so much money to fix his damages, and yet according to the courts I owe his 36k or I have to sell my house. That's fine, I'll move. He ruined everything in my home, my furniture, my cabinets, etc.

I spent some time in the hospital and have done extreme therapy, but I'm about to lose my only freedom, my car. I'm not asking for anyone to pay it off, I'm just drowning in so many bills that I'm asking for help to keep it. I just need to pay what I'm behind. I know there are so many others who need help, but in all honesty this is my last resort, and pretty humiliating to beg for help. I have a story to tell to help others and I want to advocate for so many, but I first need to learn to advocate for myself. Don't help if you can't. Im in no place to squeeze a beet for blood. Just say a kind word so I know that my voice is heard.
