Hello!! As many of you know, last summer I took a service trip through my high school to volunteer in Nigeria, where I played with and taught orphaned kids English and science. I fell in love with the kids and the feeling of giving back, so my friend and I researched and found a reputable volunteer organization (not through our school) and will be going to Ghana to do the same work—helping and teaching kids in need which we are super excited about! I want to make an impact this summer before my freshman year of college. Since my major is special education/elementary education, I decided to spend my time working with kids and gaining a deeper understanding of what it means to make a difference in children's lives in other parts of the world. Any donation would help me achieve my goal, and I can't wait to share pictures of the future trip!!
