After four years of homelessness, I finally have a place to call my own. Every bit of my savings went into securing this home, and while I’m incredibly grateful to have a roof over my head, I’m starting from scratch when it comes to the basics. Right now, I don’t have a fridge or a stove, which makes it difficult to store food or prepare regular meals. This means I have to rely on fast food or pre-packaged items, which is more expensive and less healthy.

Having a fridge would allow me to keep groceries fresh, reduce waste, and make healthier choices. A stove would let me cook hot meals at home, which is not only better for my health but also much more affordable in the long run. More than anything, having these appliances would help me feel more stable and settled in my new home. I’m working hard to rebuild my life step by step, and every bit of support helps me move closer to independence and a better daily routine.
