Hello everyone, it's me, Demi. I'm excited to share with you a remarkable journey I'm about to embark on. Next year, I'll be going on a service trip to the beautiful Dominican Republic with my Catholic school board. You might recall that my family and I had a similar experience when we travelled to Nigeria from 2014 to 2020. Those trips gave us a firsthand understanding of the meaningful work involved in service trips on a larger scale.

When I was presented with the opportunity last year, initially, I hesitated. But over time, I came around and became wholeheartedly committed to pursuing this chance. I went through the application process and the interview, and to my delight, I was chosen out of all the applicants. This journey promises to be quite fascinating. We'll be heading to the northern coast of the Dominican Republic, not only to explore the country but also to lend a helping hand by providing English tutoring for local students.

I'm joining forces with a non-profit organization, along with the team from EF Tours who are spearheading this event. They're not only getting us there but also connecting us with various communities. We'll be involved in afterschool activities aimed at children's growth and development. Six of my fellow students from HT (my high school), along with teams of seven from other schools in my board, will be joining me.

This tour comes with a substantial cost, about $4,000. My family has already contributed, and we're actively working to secure the remaining funds. This is where I could use your help.
