For the past decade, I’ve faced unstable housing, constantly worrying about where I will live next. My landlords are selling the house I currently call home, but it’s not a safe or affordable option for my family. There’s a mouse infestation, and the price is more than we can pay. I need to move—urgently—into a safe, accessible home.

I have been living with ALS for 13 years, a progressive disease that affects my mobility, speech, and independence. Finding accessible housing is incredibly difficult and expensive, and moving with ALS is physically exhausting and risky. I need a place I can safely roll into and live in—step-free entry, wider doorways, and room for equipment—so I can keep parenting my kids with dignity and some peace of mind.
