Hi my name is Marie Maul, I grew up here in Delevan NY and I have worked at The Delevan Drive-In for 8 summers. When I started here I had no clue how to run a Drive-In and I surely didn't expect that it would steal my heart as quickly as it did. This Drive-In has been a part of our community since 1959 and is one of the less than 300 Drive-Ins still operating in the U.S. today. For decades, it has been the backdrop for first dates, family movie nights, and countless memories shared by generations.

My family and I, along with my amazing staff have put our best foot forward for years trying to make improvements on anything we could, donating time, helping out with fixing things but sadly, under the current ownership, the Drive-In is struggling and will not be opening this year. I fear that if put on the market there's a chance it won't be a Drive-In any more.

That brings us to why I've started this fundraiser, I've spent this off season exploring every avenue to purchase this Drive-In. Unfortunately, getting a loan or an investor for a business that's failing is not an easy task. But I have not lost my confidence, I have had 8 years to dream about what this place could be, and I truly believe that with a lot of love and a whole lot of hard work we can keep the magic of the Drive-In alive, and then some. My plan involves not only making necessary repairs but also growing the business, building new things, having themed events, cruise nights, birthday parties, flea markets, the possibilities are endless. I want to create an experience that families in this community can really enjoy. That's why I'm reaching out, to the community and Drive-In enthusiasts alike, your support would go directly toward the purchase of the Drive-In, making the immediate repairs that it needs and ensuring that it stays open. We've already considered what we would do in the event we didn't reach our goal, and the answer is you would all get your donations refunded by Gofundme.
