My name is Dana Alyss, you may know me from my hit viral series like The Dating Hunger Games or The Ugly Friend on social media. Well, a few years ago, I came back to my hometown of Bethlehem, PA from working in Television in Los Angeles. I saw it was being taken over by developers, warehouses, and corporations.

I had an idea: save a farm from a developer and make a Hallmark Christmas movie plot real. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to save the farm from the developers... or the drive-in or the old plant nursery or the quarry. You get the picture. But there is one place that I hold near and dear to my heart ever since I was a child - The Christmas Barn - and for some reason, it has yet to be sold to a developer and turned into another apartment complex or medical building.

The Christmas Barn was a beloved, year-round holiday and gift destination located in Bethlehem Township, PA. The iconic local store shuttered its doors in March 2007 after nearly 50 years of operation following the retirement of its owners and has sat vacant since.

If you know me, you know I love Christmas. And we live in the Christmas City, so there is no better place to do this. And there's no better way to make a Hallmark Christmas movie plot a reality than to save a Christmas Barn with history in the tri-state area.

So I am hoping to buy it and revitalize it to its Christmas Barn glory. I have a solid business plan and have been shown the property. I will need roughly $200,000 for a downpayment on a loan to buy the $2.2M property. But my hope is to turn it back into a place for local small businesses to sell their items to the community with an emphasis on Christmas decor during the holiday season.

Am I giving away too much information that someone won't steal my idea? I don't know. That happens a lot in Hollywood, so I have always been afraid to ask for help on things that are big ideas, but I can't do this one alone, and I am afraid bringing in a big investor will turn it into another development or corporate entity, and that's not what I want to accomplish. So here I am, asking for your help. Fingers crossed we can find a little Christmas magic and make a real life Hallmark Christmas Movie plot happen.
