My name is Stuart, and I’ve been fighting my whole life to overcome challenges. After losing my home and everything in it, I was forced into a shelter on the south side a year ago. The months that followed were filled with depression and anxiety, but I kept pushing forward. I was finally hired for a job and worked as long as I could, but illness took over and I had to leave. On top of that, I faced daily bullying from co-workers, which made things even harder. After everything I had been through, I just couldn’t take it any longer.

Now, I’m at risk of losing the last of what I own. My whole life is in my storage unit—memories and belongings I worked hard for, and things I’ve managed to hold onto despite a difficult childhood and so many setbacks. I’ve had this storage unit for 10 years, and it’s all I have left in this world. If I can’t pay the bill by January 26, 2026, everything will be auctioned off. I have no family to ask for help, so I’m reaching out to the kindness of others.
