What is Pancreatic Cancer?

Pancreatic cancer is a type of cancer that begins in the pancreas, an essential organ responsible for producing digestive enzymes and hormones like insulin. It is one of the most aggressive and difficult-to-detect cancers, often diagnosed in advanced stages.

Why is Pancreatic Cancer Dangerous?

It progresses rapidly and often spreads before symptoms appear.
It has a low survival rate, especially if diagnosed late.
It can affect digestion, blood sugar regulation, and vital organs like the liver and intestines.

1. Who am I?

I am Mohammad Faidi, a son, a student, and someone who is doing everything possible to make a difference in his family’s life. I have been passionate about education since I was young, and I have always believed that through knowledge and hard work, I can improve my future and the future of those I love. Currently, I am pursuing a master's degree in Artificial Intelligence at Bicocca University in Milan, Italy, with the goal of improving my career prospects and supporting my family back home

2- Where am I from?
I am from Nablus, a city in P@lest!ne. Life there is difficult, and my family has always had to deal with financial hardship. Despite these struggles, we have always supported each other. My family is everything to me, and the strength and resilience they have shown have always inspired me to keep going, no matter the odds.

3. The Full Names of the Individuals or Organizations You Are Seeking to Support or Aid, Where They're Located, and Your Relationship with Them

I am raising funds for my father, Haitham Faidi, who is 62 years old and currently battling cancer. He is living in (Pal////ine), where he has been undergoing various treatments. I am his hope child, and I have always looked up to him as my role model. He is the one who raised me with love, sacrifice, and endless support. Now, he is the one who needs my help.

My father's illness has become a major financial burden, and I am unable to provide the full support he needs from Italy. This is why I am reaching out for help – to ensure that my father can continue receiving the treatment he urgently needs.

4. How the Funds Will Be Spent and How You Plan to Get Them to the Beneficiary

The funds I am raising will go directly to my father's medical expenses. These include chemotherapy treatments, hospital stays, essential medications, and other medical care necessary for his survival. The financial burden of his treatment is overwhelming, and without these funds, we will not be able to continue his life-saving care.

I will transfer the funds directly to my family in (Pal) using secure methods such as Western Union or bank transfers. This way, I can ensure that the money is used solely for my father's medical expenses and that he receives the care he needs without delay.

My Journey: A Son's Dream to Change His Family’s Future

I have always been passionate about education. Since I was young, I knew that knowledge was my only way to build a better future. Despite our financial struggles, I dedicated myself to my studies, achieving high marks in my bachelor’s degree. With this, I earned a place in Milan, Italy, to pursue my master’s degree. My dream was to take advantage of my education and secure scholarships, then find a good job to support my family. I arrived in Italy full of hope, believing that if I worked hard, I could change everything for them.

But reality was much harder than I imagined.

Finding a job in Italy is difficult—it requires endless documents, a high level of Italian, and most of all, money. I have tried my best, but my biggest battle is not just for myself.

My Father, Haitham (62), Has Cancer – And I Am Helpless

My father, Haitham, is 62 years old, and he is the strongest man I know. He raised me with love, sacrifice, and endless support. But now, he has cancer, and I am thousands of kilometers away from him.

Every day, I call home, and I see him suffering on a small phone screen. His body is weak. His face is tired. His voice is not the same. I try to be strong for him, to smile and tell him everything will be okay. But as soon as I hang up, I break down in tears because I know—I am running out of ways to help him.

Why is this cause important to you?

This cause is incredibly important because my father has always been my support, my hero. He raised me with love and sacrifice, and now it is my turn to help him fight for his life. Being so far away from him, unable to be there physically, is heartbreaking. But I am determined to do everything I can to ensure he receives the life-saving treatments he needs. His illness is taking a toll on him, and without the necessary funds, we may lose him.

I Have Given Everything to My Family

Despite my struggles, I never stopped fighting. Every six months, my university gives me €2,000 in scholarship money. I work tirelessly to pass all my exams just to receive this amount. But instead of keeping it for myself, I immediately send most of it home. I survive on just €100 per month. I take the free meal from the university cafeteria, splitting it into two portions—one for lunch, one for dinner—just to make sure my family has enough to survive.

When I finally found a job, I was filled with hope. I started sending €200 every month to my family through Western Union. It wasn’t enough, but it was something. Then, my dream was shattered again. The company fired me because I couldn’t find a place to live near Dolo. And now, I have nothing. No job. No income. And worst of all, I can no longer send money to my father for his hospital treatments.

How will the funds be used?

The funds will be used to cover my father’s ongoing medical expenses, including chemotherapy, hospital stays, necessary medical tests, life-saving medications, and other treatments he requires. These funds are crucial for his continued care, as we are unable to afford these costs on our own. Every bit of support will help lighten the burden on my family and allow us to keep my father alive for as long as possible.

I Am Fighting Alone – I Need Your Help

Life There is already incredibly hard. My family lives under occupation, struggling every day. But they still dream. They dream of a better life, a future where suffering is not their only reality. I wanted to be the one to give them that future. And now, I feel lost.

I am fighting alone in Italy. The weight of life is crushing me. At 28, I feel like I am 80 years old because of the struggles I have faced. I am doing everything I can to find work again, but time is running out for my father.

His hospital treatments, chemical washes, and medical expenses have become impossible to afford. We urgently need to cover these costs to continue his treatment.

Why Your Help Matters – Especially Now in Ramadan

We are in the holy month of Ramadan, a time of giving, blessings, and charity. In Islam, this is the most important time for Zakat and Sadaqah, to help those in need. If you are looking to do good this month, please consider donating to save my father.

I am asking for some money to cover my father’s medical expenses, chemotherapy, hospital stays, and life-saving medications. Even a small donation can make a difference. And if you cannot donate, please share my story with others. You might be the reason someone else sees this and helps us.

I have always believed that education, hard work, and faith could change my life and my family’s life. But today, I need your help to keep my father alive.

Please, help me save him.
