My name is Saif Al-Din, and I am a parent from Gaza.
Our lives changed forever when our home in Rafah was destroyed. Since then, my family and I have been living in a small tent that cannot protect us from the scorching summer heat or the freezing winter nights. Every day is a struggle to find safety, food, clean water, and hope.
I have also suffered severe physical and emotional hardship during this conflict. As a result of my detention and the treatment I endured, I lost the sight in my right eye. Living with this injury while trying to care for my family has been incredibly difficult.
Despite everything we have lost, my greatest concern is my child. My child urgently needs heart surgery, and without it, their health is at serious risk. As a parent, there is nothing more painful than knowing your child needs lifesaving medical care that you cannot afford.
Today, I am asking for your kindness and compassion. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to giving my child the medical treatment they desperately need. Your support will also help us secure food, basic necessities, and a safer place to live while we rebuild our lives.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign with others would mean the world to us.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read our story and for standing with my family during this incredibly difficult time.
With gratitude,
Saif Al-Din
From Gaza
