Dear friends,

As many of you know, my wife and children live in Vienna, Austria, where they’re dedicated to their education. I work in Jordanville, NY, and while we stay connected virtually, there’s simply no substitute for being together in person as a family.

I was grateful to spend time with them last November, and I’m now planning another visit this May to be present in their daily lives. A friend is generously covering my airfare, but covering the living expenses while I’m in Vienna remains a real challenge on an academic’s income.
