After a painful 16-year split, I found myself at the lowest point in my life. The emotional toll was so heavy that I nearly gave up, but I reached out for help and began the long process of healing. With the support of professionals and medication, I slowly started to rebuild, determined to be there for my children no matter what. Unfortunately, the court ordered supervised visits after my ex-fiancé used social media posts against me, and her family took away the vehicle I had relied on for years. I put thousands of dollars into that car, but it was gone in an instant because I made their daughter mad.

Since then, I’ve faced homelessness and now rent a small room. I work over 40 hours a week and donate plasma for extra income, but with child support payments and basic living expenses, I can barely afford food. I’ve tried every option—buses, rideshares, and walking over 30 miles a week—just to keep going. Despite my best efforts, I can’t reach better-paying jobs or consistently see my children, who live 40 miles away.

Reliable transportation and a stable place to live would change everything. I could be present at my kids’ events, show my love as a dedicated father, and finally take on jobs that would allow me to afford a home where my children could visit after supervised visits are lifted. I’m doing everything I can to make this happen on my own, but I’m asking for help from anyone with a heart who wants to support a father fighting to be part of his children’s lives.
