The Florida Rights Restoration Coalition (“FRRC”) is a grassroots organization run by returning citizens who are dedicated to ending the disenfranchisement against people with convictions. These citizens have paid their debt to society and deserve an opportunity to participate as full citizens again – Participation has been blocked in the State of Florida as formerly incarcerated people must pay extensive fees, fines, etc. to restore their right to vote. Funds are needed immediately for this effort!

FRRC are dedicated to ending discrimination against people with convictions and creating a more comprehensive and humane reentry system. In the 2018, FRRC passed Amendment Four which restored voting rights to 1.6 million formerly incarcerated people in Florida, however extensive fees and fines were put in place as an obstacle. Let’s work together to reconnect 1.6 million eligible citizens to the voting process! 

This GoFundMe is designed to raise awareness and needed funds so formerly incarcerated people can vote in the upcoming election and in the future. The right to vote is a fundamental right of all citizens and formerly incarcerated people should not have to pay a “poll tax” in order to restore their right to vote.
