My name is Therlking (my friends call me DK) and I am a biomedical engineer extremely passionate about medical innovation and global health! I have spent many years building up my research, clinical, and industrial experience until I felt ready to tackle global health issues. Now, it's time! I have been fortunate to be selected as a Unite For Sight Global Impact Fellow where I will be volunteering at Centro de Salud Integral Zoé (Zoe Eye Clinic) in Tegucigalpa, Honduras for 2 weeks. I will participate daily with the local ophthalmologists, local optometrists, and local ophthalmic nurses to eliminate patient barriers to care and to facilitate comprehensive year-round eye care for patients living in extreme poverty.

This is a big mission and I can use all the help to make it successful! My goal is to raise at least $5,000, which will provide 100 sight-restoring surgeries!

To date, Unite For Sight has provided eye care services to 2.9 million patients, including more than 109,000 sight-restoring surgeries. I aim to help continue this incredible impact!
