Help me replace a stolen motor scooter

Hi all

Something happened recently that really saddens me about the state of society nowadays. My partner's son was doing some charity work for St Giles hospice at their shop in Burntwood when a gang of thieves came along all tooled up to the car park with hammers and angle grinders and proceeded to smash the security chain which was attached to his almost recently purchased scooter. People tried to stop them but the hammer waved in their face meant it was not possible to stop them. Effectively all of us are paying for that through our taxes and the PIP payment he receives to get mobile and yes it had a chain like that one on it in the photograph, these are hard core criminals.

It's a long story to how we got here but the lad is really trying hard to overcome serious mental health issues and I just think it's so sad that people think that this is OK to do this.

Anyway, you might say well was he insured, yes of course he was but the voluntary excess is £ 800 and that along with the devaluation as it comes out the show room means I think he'll need a £ 1000 to replace it.

Anyway, I will put the first £ 100 in so if you can find it in your heart to help a Lad that really could do with a break and get his little bit of independence back then thanks very much indeed. I will make up any difference up to a £ 1000 as I just cannot let these thugs win. I just can't. But I could do with a bit of help as we’ve already lent him a chunk of money to buy it in the first place that he was paying back every month.

Thanks all.
