I have began pressing charges after being strangled last week. That incident was the final straw in a long line of trauma. I’ve also started the process to get a protection order in place for both me and my son, Owen. We are safe now, and I’ve been able to secure new housing—but the road ahead is still long and incredibly costly.

I’m currently paying out of pocket for a rental car while managing everything on my own, and I’ve spent over $10,000 in just the past month to protect and relocate us. My savings are gone, and I’m emotionally and financially drained.

Owen’s father has completely abandoned him. I am his sole provider, emotionally and financially.
