Hi! My name is James, I am a builder based on the Central Coast, NSW, currently volunteering in Kathmandu Nepal.
I am currently part of a team that’s rebuilding the local Animal Trauma Rehabilitation Center following a recent land slide. This has caused devastating damage to more than a third of their facility, leaving multiple kennels and the larger rehabilitation area for the animals under rubble.
As they already operate on little funds I have taken it upon myself to self-fund the excavation and clean up needed to begin rebuilding. I am now turning to the wider community for your support in helping me make as much impact possible with the remaining 2 weeks I have here.
I have been honoured with the task of directing the rebuild and will happily use my industry knowledge to not only rebuild as much as I can while I am here but also spend the time to pass on my knowledge to the local tradesman who can continue once I leave and further prevent these events from occurring.
Any donation, big or small would be greatly appreciated by myself and the good people here at the KAT centre. Anyone who knows me personally will know this is a project that is very close to my heart. I have 2 beautiful dogs waiting for me back home and I would be devastated to see them go through the poverty, physical trauma or disease that these poor animals face here daily.
If you are able to help donate to this cause in any way possible I would be eternally grateful!
If you are not financially able to do so, I completely understand and would very much appreciate if you could take a few moments out of your day to share this gofundme with whoever you can that may be in a position to help.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you in advance to whoever decides to help me achieve this goal!
