Being hit with what feels like layer after layer of unexpected challenges, and no space to find grounding on one before moving on to the next one,
I’m finding myself on the precipice of losing everything.
– needing to secure a safe and peaceful home environment.

-needing access to mental health services to help me manage and heal from the last four years as well as past childhood trauma.
I grew up in foster care and in group homes therefore,
my community is my family and
this is a courageous and humble request for your help as I embark on this journey to rebuild my life from the ground up.
### The Challenge
The past 4 years have pushed me to places I never thought I would be at this age financially, emotionally and mental health wise.
The onset of Covid brought my 20 year career as a hairstylist to a standstill, erasing 46% of my client base and pushing me into financial turmoil.
Despite my best efforts, including countless marketing attempts, the path to recovery has been fraught with consistent setbacks.
San Francisco's economic instability, especially within the tech sector which constitutes a significant portion of my clientele, has made it exceedingly difficult to regain my footing.
with that I am on the verge of deciding to close my hair studio and relocate with my niece.
The toll on my mental health has been profound, with severe anxiety, deep depression, and overwhelm.
A possible eviction only compounds these struggles, as my current living situation is toxic and extremely unhealthy for sense of safety and mental health.
The departure of my only supportive family my niece moved to San Antonio left a void that has been heavy in my heart marking the loss of my most significant source of emotional support.
### The Plan
In the face of these challenges,
I need to secure a safe place to live so that I can gain a sense of stability to move forward and work on these challenges one at a time. I've been offered an invitation from my niece to join her in San Antonio.
This would be the last resort option for me. I cannot fathom not being here in San Francisco.
I’ve worked so hard to gain the clients I do have, and that have been so loyal.
I just need time to rebrand and regroup my business.
I need help to create steps towards a future with promise and potential and the opportunity to rebuild in every aspect of my life.
With the support raised through this campaign,
I plan to:

- Pursue further education and training to enhance my skills and offerings.
