I have made mistakes in my life, and I grew up dealing with addiction and a broken family. I am proud to say that I am completely sober now, but the journey has not been easy. Recently, I parted ways with my family and have been trying to get on my feet and build a better life for myself. I had a little money saved before I left, but it has all gone toward surviving day to day. Now, I am living in my car and doing my best to stay hopeful and strong.

I have been actively looking for work and a legitimate trade, and I am optimistic that I will have an opportunity very soon. In the meantime, my financial obligations are piling up—food, insurance, my phone, gas for my car, and my gym membership so I can shower and stay clean. Every time I try to get ahead, it seems like another obstacle appears and sets me back. Despite these challenges, I am determined to work as hard as I need to in order to get out of this situation and make something out of my life.
