I recently found myself in a really difficult situation. After leaving my old roommates because things were getting too crowded, I tried to move in with friends in Canada for a fresh start. Unfortunately, when I arrived, Canadian immigration denied me entry. They told me that because I didn’t have enough resources, I could end up homeless if things didn’t work out with my friends. Instead of letting me return to my old roommates, they put me on a plane to Washington, D.C., leaving me far from anyone I know or trust.

Now, I’m doing my best to get back on my feet. I’m currently homeless and trying to find a way to secure temporary housing and afford basic necessities like food. My hope is to eventually gather enough funds to move in with friends and start rebuilding my life. Every bit of support will help me take a step closer to stability and safety.
