✈️ Help Me Reach My Goal So I can fly to Kenya and Build a School for the deprived children

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

Imagine a child walking for miles just to find a school—only to arrive at a crumbling building with no desks, no books, and sometimes no teachers. In many communities across Africa, this is a harsh daily reality. But together, we can be part of the change.

My name is Carrie Ellis and I am 13 years old. I’m launching this campaign to raise £5,000 so I can join a life-changing volunteer mission to help build a school in a deprived African community. I have been given this opportunity by Camps International. This isn’t just about bricks and mortar—it’s about giving children access to the future they deserve. There are many other opportunities to help and encourage the less fortunate out in Kenya that we will be striving to achieve alongside the school.

I will also take advantage of the beautiful country, so i get to experience new adventures and challenges. This will include climbing either Mt Kenya, Mt Meru or Kilamanjaro, swimming in the tropical warm water of the Indian Ocean and going on a safari to see animals I have never seen before!

I believe I will thrive given this opportunity as I know I can create a positive impact on the local communities and broaden my understanding on the way other people live.

Why This Matters

Education is the most powerful tool we can use to break the cycle of poverty. But for so many children, it’s simply out of reach. This school will provide a safe and nurturing environment where young minds can grow, dream, and thrive.

Where Your Money Goes

Every penny will be used wisely:

• Flights & travel logistics: £1,200

• Accommodation & in-country support: £1,000

• Construction materials/tools fund: £1,500

• Educational supplies & donations: £800

• Contingency & admin (Kit, Insurance etc): £500
