Help Me Provide For My Boys As I Earn My Teaching Credential
Donation protected
As many of you know, I’m currently working toward my master’s degree and teaching credential—something I’ve been dreaming of and working hard to achieve. Next semester, I’ll start student teaching, which is an important step in earning my credential. Unfortunately, this means I’ll need to take 14 weeks off work to complete the required hours. Adding in my current 3-week winter break, that’s a total of 17 weeks without income.
I had applied for a teaching job that would have allowed me to complete my required hours while earning a paycheck, which would have been a huge help financially. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the position, so now I’ll need to move forward with unpaid student teaching.
This has been a difficult decision, as it places a financial strain on my household. As a single provider for my boys, this unpaid period will be challenging, especially when it comes to covering groceries and essential bills. While I’ve tried to prepare as much as possible, I’m finding that I can’t do it all on my own this time. I’m realizing I’ll need some extra support to get through this time.
As hard as it is to ask, I’m reaching out for help to make sure I can provide groceries for my boys while I complete this semester. Any help—whether it’s financial support, sharing this post, or just sending positive vibes our way—means so much to me.
This journey hasn’t been easy, but I’m doing everything I can to create a better future for my boys and me. I’m so grateful for the support and love from those around us, and I appreciate anything you can do to help us through this next step. Thank you for being part of our journey.
