I recently received the incredible news that my submission to speak on "Inclusive Crisis Care: Addressing the Unique Needs of LGBTQIA2S Youth in Crisis" was accepted by the Society for Research in Child Development. This means I have the honor of presenting at the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity in Childhood and Adolescence: A Global Forum on Development, Health, and Rights in the Netherlands. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity to contribute to such an important conversation, especially at a time when LGBTQIA2S rights are under threat and so many young people are in need of support.
This moment is especially meaningful because I graduate in 54 days with my doctorate. Being able to participate in this forum would be a dream come true at such a pivotal time in my life and career.
However, I am facing a significant barrier: I cannot afford the flight, hotel accommodations, and registration fees required to attend. Being able to participate in this forum would mean the world to me. It would allow me to share my research, connect with others who are passionate about supporting LGBTQIA2S youth, and help ensure that young people in crisis receive the quality, person-centered care they deserve.
Any contribution, big or small, would mean so much. If you can't contribute financially, please consider spreading the word about my fundraiser. Your support will help me bring this important message to a global stage and make a real difference for LGBTQIA2S youth in crisis.
