Help me officially adopt Becca

Hi friends and family! As many of you know, Becca is not my biological child. I never fully shared the story of how she came to be in my life so here goes: In November of 2020, I was in North Carolina completing an internship at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. During that time I was living with a woman whom I now call “maw-maw”. While I was there, Becca came to live with us for a short period of time because her biological mother had been arrested for drugs. Unfortunately Becca was returned to her bio mom after a few short days and I did not see her again for the remainder of my internship. Fast forward to June of 2021. I had just graduated chiropractic school and decided to accept a job offer back down in North Carolina. I had been praying and I knew it is where God was calling me to be. One week after I signed my offer letter, maw-maw texted me that she had taken emergency temporary custody of Becca. From there, everything moved full steam ahead! As soon as I moved back down here, Becca immediately started staying with me on the weekends. In December of 2021 when we were celebrating Christmas, Becca asked if she could call me “mommy”. In May of 2022, maw-maw was granted full custody of Becca. In July of 2022, maw-maw signed for me to have guardianship and Becca moved in with me full time. This July will mark 2 whole years that I’ve had my little Becca boo. The time has come for me to go for full legal adoption and I’m asking for your help. Lawyer and court fees will be about $7,000. I appreciate any amount you’re able to contribute. If there’s anything I know for certain, it’s that God has had His hand in this all along. I was ALWAYS meant to be Rebecca’s mother ❤️
