In May 2024, my life changed when I was hit while sitting in my car in a parking lot. The accident led to two spine surgeries, and unfortunately, the first surgery left me with permanent nerve damage throughout my entire body. On top of the physical pain, I was recently diagnosed with severe PTSD, which makes it extremely difficult for me to be in public or around large crowds.

My pitbull has been my best friend for nine years, and together we are facing homelessness. Right now, we are living between a tent and my truck. I do my best to get by, working at the flea market buying and selling what I can, but standing and sitting for long periods is a real challenge. I have applied for social security disability and am currently in the reconsideration stage, with a lawyer helping me and my congressman contacted for assistance. I have also reached out to 211 and the housing authority, but so far, no luck.

What I need most is a safe place for my dog and me to call home. I have a truck that can pull a camper, but I need help to buy one so we can have a place to cook, shower, and sleep safely. If anyone is willing to help, I am happy to provide proof of my situation. I feel terrible for asking, but I am truly struggling.
