I’m a 22-year-old recent college graduate asking for help securing safe and stable housing. Last year, during my final year of college, I was assaulted by a family member of my mother’s husband. At the time, I was preparing to move back to college temporarily so I could finish my education. I have since graduated and am now trying to move forward and begin this next chapter of my life.
 I am currently back at the house where the assault happened. I recently found out that my abuser is welcome in the home. He shows up every weekend and has the support of my relatives, this has made me realize that I cannot safely or comfortably remain here. In addition to this situation, I am also dealing with ongoing emotional and financial abuse from relatives.

 As a recent graduate, I do not have savings to rely on. I am currently in the process of starting a new job, but until I am financially stable, I need help getting into a safe place of my own. I am raising money to help cover the upfront costs of renting a bedroom or studio, including:

•  Security deposit 
• First and last month’s rent 
• Basic furniture 
• Household necessities 

 I am not asking for help with long-term expenses. I am asking for help getting through this transition so I can establish a safe, stable place to live and begin supporting myself independently. Any amount helps, and even sharing this fundraiser would mean a lot to me.
