Help Me Manage Estate & Housing Costs After Losing My Mother

My name is Joshua, my brother and I recently lost our mother unexpectedly.

**UPDATE**

Along with the emotional impact of her passing, I’ve been left responsible for everything that comes with it. We HAVE located a signed will, which has made the situation a little easier moving forward. Nothing has changed yet, but having located the signed will should help move things forward more efficiently.
My mother was responsible for the household expenses, supported in part by my brother’s disability benefits. My brother, who is currently unable to work, continues to reside in the home.
Since her passing, I have been managing the immediate estate-related expenses, The remaining bills that my brother can not afford and responsibilities while working to stabilize the situation and move things forward. So that he continues to have a place to live.

At the same time, the house needs immediate cleanup, repairs, and removal of large items before it can be put on the market. These are urgent and necessary costs that cannot be delayed if we want to sell the property.
On top of that, my mother had just purchased a brand new vehicle shortly before her passing. The estate is now responsible for those payments, which I am currently covering out of pocket.
To be clear, these funds are being raised for house and estate related costs. They are strictly being used by me to cover estate-related expenses, housing costs, and the work required to prepare the property for sale.
Right now, I am carrying all of the estate related costs financially on my own, and it has quickly become overwhelming. I can't get a line of credit because I finished a consumer proposal less than 2 years ago so no bank will help

To make things more difficult, I am currently live in Edmonton for work, and have my own bills which has made it extremely challenging to manage both my job and these responsibilities on a daily basis. Trying to coordinate everything remotely has added another layer of stress and urgency.

This fundraiser will help cover:
Immediate housing expenses (utilities, and bills)
Urgent cleanup and repairs needed to list the home
Estate-related financial obligations, including the vehicle
Stabilizing the situation until the property can be sold
Time is critical, and the longer this process takes, the more the costs continue to add up.
