Hi everyone, asking for help like this isn’t easy, but life changed very quickly and I’m working hard to rebuild.
In 2014, my spouse and I traveled from Dallas to San Francisco to be part of the historic “Winter of Love” anniversary and get married during a milestone moment for marriage equality. It was one of the most meaningful moments of my life and the beginning of over a decade together.
This week would have marked 12 years of marriage. I never imagined I’d be starting over like this, but I’m focused on rebuilding my life with stability, dignity, and independence.
At the end of January, I was hospitalized for mental health care. While I was inpatient, my spouse filed for divorce. When I was discharged, I came home to find my belongings packed and I suddenly needed to secure housing and restart my life from scratch.
Since then, I’ve been doing everything I can to move forward responsibly and independently. I’m employed and actively working, but the upfront cost of rebuilding housing and replacing basic essentials is more than I can cover alone in the short term.
My immediate goal is simple: move from survival mode into stable housing as quickly as possible.
What the funds will help cover:
• Apartment move-in costs (first month + deposit): ~$3,000
• Application, moving, and storage costs: ~$1,000
• Basic furniture & household essentials: ~$2,000
• Transportation, insurance & transition expenses: ~$1,500
• Small emergency cushion while stabilizing: ~$2,500
This support would allow me to secure housing, rebuild stability, and focus fully on moving forward.
If you’re able to contribute, I’m incredibly grateful. If donating isn’t possible, sharing this page truly helps more than you know.
Every share increases the chances of reaching someone who can help.
Thank you for being part of helping me land on my feet ❤️
