Just two weeks after giving birth to my beautiful daughter, she was wrongfully taken from me by Child Protective Services (CPS). This nightmare began when CPS from a county several counties away intervened in a jurisdiction where they have no authority. They opened a case against me without legitimate cause and are now attempting to permanently remove my daughter from my care. They are claiming I am homeless, which is completely false. I have stable housing with my aunt and uncle, and we have prepared a loving and secure home for my daughter with all her basic needs met. I have diligently attended all of her doctor's appointments, and she is healthy and well cared for. There is absolutely no reason for her to be taken from me, let alone placed in an unfamiliar environment, potentially several cities away, without any of her belongings or her nursing mother.
