Hi everyone! My name is Emma Kendrick, and I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been selected to volunteer abroad with the uOttawa Medical Brigade this spring!

Our team will be traveling to Guatemala to support underprivileged and rural communities by providing access to essential healthcare. Throughout the week, we’ll be shadowing local doctors, assisting with patient triage, and helping deliver basic medical services and education to families who have limited access to care.

As a Health Science student at the University of Ottawa, this opportunity means so much to me — it’s a chance to apply what I’ve learned in a real-world setting while gaining hands-on experience in global health. More importantly, it allows me to make a positive impact on the lives of people who need it most.

To make this experience possible, I need to raise a minimum of $2,600, which will go toward travel costs, accommodations, and the medical supplies we’ll be using in the communities we serve.

Any donation — big or small — will help me reach my goal and make this life-changing experience a reality. Even sharing this page helps more than you know!

Thank you so much for supporting me and helping bring healthcare to those who need it most
