Chris and I met three years ago, and since then, our relationship has been defined by love, commitment, and a lot of travel. For the past year, we’ve been married and commuting every weekend between the US and Canada just to spend time together. It hasn’t always been easy, but every mile has been worth it to be with the person I love.

Now, after a year of marriage and countless weekends on the road, Chris and I finally have an apartment in Canada—a place to call our own. This is a huge step for us, and we’re so excited to start our life together fully, without borders or long drives keeping us apart. But as we take this next step, we’re facing the significant costs of immigration, moving, and transferring my American nursing license so I can continue my career in Canada.

The funds raised here will mainly help cover the legal fees for my immigration process, as well as moving expenses and the costs of getting my nursing credentials recognized in Canada. I am beyond grateful and blessed to have become friends with so many wonderful people in Canada over the past three years, and I can’t wait to see more of you as soon as my permanent residency goes through.
