Help me help the homeless in Los Angeles!

Hello, my name is Ethan and I'm 12 years old. I live in Los Angeles, CA, and we have a lot of homeless people here. I see encampments with tents, and people begging for money on most street corners. It's pretty horrible.

Learning about the homeless, I find it fascinating that people become homeless for different reasons. Some from losing their jobs, some from losing their families, and some from mental illness. It's got to be super hard to be homeless.

For my bar mitzvah project, I want to help the homeless by providing them with kits to make their life a bit easier. Kits are $8 and include things like a toothbrush, tooth paste, sanitizer, nail clippers, gloves, socks, granola bars, a t-shirt, foil blanket, hat,  pb&j,  and a few other things.

I will be working with PATH, an organization that helps the homeless in many ways. One way is distributing these kits. Here is a link to the PATH website: PATH U.S.

I'm trying to raise $850 for 100 kits. If you could donate I would be greatly appreciative! This project is a quick campaign because we are putting the kits together on March 8th. This project means so much to me. I would really appreciate your donation!

Thank you,
Ethan

Update: I hit my goat to 100 kits pretty quickly so I’m stretching to 300 kits now. This is so incredible! Big thanks to everyone. Also, I will be able to send tax-deduction letters from our temple when this is complete.
