My dad has spent his entire life giving to others — friends, family, charities — all without a second thought. He’s the kind of person who shows up before you ask, who gives without keeping score, who quietly supports charities and people in need without ever taking credit. His love language has always been selflessness. And now, with nothing left to give, I’m asking on his behalf for support.
I never thought I’d be writing this. But my dad — my quiet constant, my safe place — is about to lose the house he worked so hard to buy and make into a home. A divorce settlement has left him owing more than he has. If it isn’t paid soon, he could lose everything.
I’m not prepared to let that happen without trying absolutely everything — because I know he would do and has done the same for others.
His home isn’t just where he lives with his dogs. It’s the only place I can go when I’m unwell, when I need care, when I need him, which is essential given my health conditions. It’s one of the very few places I’m able to bring my medical alert dog, Jackson.
My dad has cared for me through thick and thin. He gave me strength, safety, and love at every turn — even when life gave him so little in return. He has made more sacrifices for me than I could ever name, and more than I could ever repay. He is, without question, the most incredible father anyone could ask for.
He would never dream of starting something like this. But I believe there’s no shame in asking for help and no harm in trying. If nothing comes of it, then at least I’ll know I did everything I could.
What my dad now owes is a staggering figure — and this campaign only aims to raise a small fraction of that, but it’s a significant amount, nonetheless.
Jackson, my medical assistance dog, has 10000 followers on TikTok. That’s 10000 opportunities to help my Dad in any way.
The fundraising amount is set at £10000, reflecting each person who has been involved in Jackson’s TikTok account and made it something that has been a huge enjoyment for me and helped multiple charities along the way and helped my mental health and hopefully helped others smile too!
£10,000 could be enough to ease the weight on my Dad’s shoulders. It would make a great difference in what he’s facing, and that would mean so much. It might help bridge the gap between losing everything and holding on just a little longer — with some breathing room, and a little dignity.
I don’t expect miracles. I don’t expect anything at all. I’m just trying to give my Dad a chance. And if you’re able to help — by donating, or even just sharing this page it would mean the world to me.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. The heart that Jackson helps assist with as a medical alert dog, and the heart that will be broken if I see my dad lose his home.
