Help My Foster Daughter on a Life-Changing Trip to Cambodia
Donation protected
My name is Alex, and I’m writing on behalf of my incredible 14-year-old foster daughter, Shannon. She’s been in foster care since she was two years old, and in that time, she has shown remarkable strength, resilience, and a drive to make the most of every opportunity that comes her way. Now, she has a chance to take part in an extraordinary expedition to Cambodia—a trip that could change her life forever.
This journey is more than just an adventure; it’s an opportunity for her to grow, learn, and make a positive impact. During the expedition, she’ll:
✨ Trek through Cambodia’s beautiful and challenging jungles, building resilience and confidence.
✨ Work with local communities on meaningful development projects that will make a real difference in people’s lives.
✨ Immerse herself in Cambodia’s rich history and culture, visiting iconic sites like the Angkor Wat temples, the S21 Prison, and the Killing Fields.
This trip will give her the chance to step out of her comfort zone, learn important life skills, and gain experiences that will shape her future. She’s determined to make the most of this opportunity, and I couldn’t be prouder of her.
The total cost of the expedition is £4,770. As her foster parents, we are contributing to the funding, but we need some extra support to help her achieve this dream. She’s also looking for ways to raise money herself, including organising small fundraisers and exploring other opportunities to contribute.
I’m reaching out to ask for your help in making this life-changing trip possible. Whether it’s through a donation or simply sharing this fundraiser with your network, every bit of support will bring her one step closer to Cambodia.
Thank you so much for helping give Shannon this incredible opportunity. She’s worked hard to overcome challenges in her life, and this expedition will be a huge step forward for her. Your generosity means the world to us, and we’ll be sure to share updates from her journey along the way!
