Help me give children in Moldova Christmas gifts

I would like to thank each and every person that has donated to this fundraiser, it would not have been possible without you, and my expectations for this project have been blown out of the water.
Over the next two weeks, my work will be focused on purchasing the items for the gift packages, packing them, and brining them to ADRA. I also hope to be able to help out with the transport of packages for their project, however this is still unsure as I am waiting on a response regarding this.

Hi, my name is Scott. I am 17 and a student in Switzerland currently working on a project (Travail de Maturité) on the topic "The Challenges of Humanitarian Aid".

For my project, I have decided to see what the challenges of humanitarian aid are for myself, as an individual, and what I can do to contribute my help. Unfortunately COVID has limited my options and I have decided to focus my attention on a local activity.

I am working with ADRA Switzerland and their project "Noël dans un carton" (Christmas in a box) that aims at giving children living in difficult situations in Moldova gift packages at Christmas.

My goal is to raise funds by cycling around Lake Geneva, the biggest lake in Switzerland/France. I have made sure that this event follows all COVID rules and regulations. I have decided to use crowdfunding as means of fundraising.

What I hope, is to receive donations of items at my school, and receive funds via this fundraiser, all of which will go towards purchasing the items for creating "ideal" gifts for this project and transporting them to Moldova.

By raising funds and making the packages up myself, it allows me to reach people all around the world for their help, as ADRA accepts the gift packages and not donations to create them.

I have been in contact with ADRA Switzerland and have their support for this project.

I plan to cycle around the lake on a weekend in October, and end the fundraiser in the beginning of November 2021.

Please help me make this project a success and create a maximum amount of gifts for these children.

Bonjour, je m'appelle Scott. J'ai 17 ans et je suis étudiant en Suisse. Je travaille actuellement sur mon Travail de Maturité sur le sujet "Les défis de l'aide humanitaire".

Pour mon projet, j'ai décidé de voir quels sont les défis de l'aide humanitaire pour moi, en tant qu'individu, et ce que je peux faire pour y contribuer mo aide. Malheureusement, le COVID a limité mes options et j'ai décidé de me concentrer sur une activité locale.

Je travaille donc avec ADRA Suisse et leur projet "Noël dans un carton" qui vise à donner aux enfants vivant dans des situations difficiles en Moldavie des cadeaux à Noël.



Mon objectif est de récolter des fonds en faisant le tour du lac Léman, le plus grand lac de Suisse/France, à vélo. J'ai veillé à ce que cet événement respecte toutes les règles en place autour du COVID. J'ai décidé d'utiliser le crowdfunding comme moyen de collecte de fonds.

Ce que j'espère, c'est recevoir des dons d'articles à mon école, et recevoir des fonds via cette collecte, dont la totalité servira à acheter les articles pour créer des cadeaux "idéaux" pour ce projet et les transporter en Moldavie.

En collectant des fonds et en confectionnant moi-même les paquets, je peux solliciter l'aide de personnes du monde entier, car l'ADRA accepte les paquets-cadeaux et non les dons pour les créer.

J'ai été en contact avec ADRA Suisse et j'ai leur soutien pour ce projet.



Je prévois de faire le tour du lac à vélo un week-end d'octobre et de terminer la collecte de fonds au début du mois de novembre 2021.



Aidez-moi à faire de ce projet un succès et à créer un maximum de cadeaux pour ces enfants.
