My name is Meron,
I was adopted from Ethiopia when I was three years old. A few years later, my brother Caleb was also adopted from Addis Ababa. Growing up in Australia has given us love, safety, education, and opportunities that many children in Ethiopia never get the chance to experience.
In 2015, my life changed again when I was told about my biological mother and in 2022 I went over to meet her and I learned I had three younger sisters. Since then, my family and I have helped support them with school fees and basic needs so they can break the cycle of poverty.
We are now searching for Caleb’s biological family too, hoping to support them just as we have supported mine.
This journey inspired the creation of the Ethiopia Down-Under Foundation Ltd, an Australian Government-approved Foreign Aid Fund dedicated to providing education, safe housing, medical support, food security, and community care in Ethiopia.
While the foundation’s long-term vision is big, I’m not asking for $10 million.
I’m simply asking for anything you feel able to give - every dollar goes directly toward helping children, families, the elderly, and communities in Ethiopia who urgently need support.
I personally, together with my brother max, will be delivering all donations in December this year.
Thank you for helping me give back to the place where my story began.
